About the Daily Office:

The Daily Office is a guide to daily devotional readings to help you dive deeper into your faith and God’s Word.

There are four daily readings, one each from the Psalms, Old Testament Writings, Gospels and Epistles.  There is no attempt to tell you what to think or understand from each of these readings.  The Daily Office isn’t about taking someone else’s word for it; it’s about letting God’s Word speak directly into your life.

The readings are taken from the Book of Common Prayer.  First published in 1549, the Book of Common Prayer (or BCP) has been used to guide the worship and piety of Christians in the Church of England and those churches who trace their theological tradition to Anglican roots. This is the guide for worship and study used by John Wesley, and by millions of Christians since.  By participating in daily readings from the BCP, those who follow the daily office will join with millions of Christians around the world who are reading and studying the same passages every day.  This is one way we find ourselves in community with the Church worldwide as together we follow Christ who is our head.

You will also find links every day to share these devotional readings with your friends through Twitter and Facebook.

Our Daily Office studies are powered by the free YouVersion Bible reader from LifeChurch.tv. Scroll down to today’s reading, and click on the “View in Reader” link to read each passage. Clicking the back button on your browser will get you back to the list of readings for today.

If it’s more convenient, you can also download the YouVersion app to your smartphone.  Search for Live events in the zip code 46013 and you can take the Daily Office with you wherever you go.
